FLY TYING

DANVISE

Introducing the fabulous Danvise

REVIEW QUOTE

We continue to get lots of phone calls from customers who have bought the LaFontaine Originals series. The calls are about the fly tying vise used by Paul Stimpson to tie the patterns.

This amazing vise is the Danvise. Trust us -- it is as truly impressive in person as it is on the video. And it comes with the full recommendation of Paul Stimpson, one of the finest commercial fly tiers. Paul tied around 5,000 dozen flies on his first Danvise and then had to replace it with another. (Oh come on! 5,000 dozen flies, the vise deserved a rest.) Paul happens to be a vise junky. He has over a dozen, including some of the finest ever made. He ties with the Danvise. A true rotary, the jaws clamp shut and hold the hook perfectly tight. It's a lever action and comes with a table clamp.

The best news —
the amazing DanVise is only $80

~~ We won't sell a hundred different kind of vises –
we'll only sell the best one ~~
Watch Paul use the Danvise in the LaFontaine Originals series,
and you'll see for yourself.

Five Ultralight Travel Vises -- reviewed by Bill Battles

"A BT’s Danvise goes everywhere I go and I've never been disappointed with its functionality. Except for the hardened-steel jaws and pedestal, the Danvise is made entirely of reinforced polymer. An integral table-top clamp opens to a full two inches and has a large bearing surface to prevent movement under pressure. The pedestal is adjustable for height and rotation, and includes a bobbin cradle.

The jaws are large and precise, and have never failed to lock-up solidly on any size hook. The jaws holder permits vertical adjustment of the jaws, making the Danvise a "true rotary." A left-handed jaw holder is included for southpaws. Rotation is accomplished by turning a large handles, with infinite adjustment of rotational resistance provided by a threaded collar. The Danvise weighs 12.4 oz. and at $80 you simply can't go wrong."
